Design

The Airdopes 161 from boAt is a true wireless in-ear earbud. TWS are made of polycarbonate material. It has an IPX5 water and dust resistance rating, which protects it from sweat and water splashes.  

The TWS has a cuboidal-shaped case with a bolder and more planner texture. The earbuds are tubular from the bottom and curvy from the earlobes, giving them a more fashionable and cute appearance. 

The official weight of the TWS is 50g which is considered in slightly heavy weight. The design is catchy and attractive. Following are the available design and color options for the model.

Sound

The boAt Airdopes 161 Earbuds have 10mm drivers. The drivers deliver signature boAt Sound FIlled with thumping boosted bass, as well as clear and authentic original vocals from the artist.

Features

The boAt Airdopes 161 includes a dedicated gamera mode. The brand has included low latency support in these earbuds, but the rate of latency has yet to be specified. 

The TWS has dedicated touch controls to ensure smoother and faster access to your earbuds without the need to remove your phone. You can play or pause the current track, skip to the previous or next track, or answer or reject an incoming call.

The tws also supports smart voice assistants such as Google and Siri, which are responsible for the earbuds’ hands-free operation on verbal commands.

Connectivity

The boAt Airdopes 161 has Bluetooth connectivity for continuous connectivity. The tws is equipped with Bluetooth 5.1, which has a working range of 10m. 

With its IWP Technology, the TWS has a very broad range of connectivity compatibility. The Earbuds work with both Android and iOS smartphones.

Battery and Charging

The boAt Airdopes 161 come with a 300 mAh Li-Polymer battery case and a separate battery capacity of 40 mAh for each earbud. The Earbuds’ total battery capacity is 5.5 to 6 hours, depending on volume (data for 60% volume).

With case charging, the user can get an extra 11 hours of battery backup, bringing the total battery backup to 17 hours on a single charge (5 hours in a single TWS). 

The earbuds have USB-C fast charging, which can charge the earbuds in 35 minutes and the case in 1.5 hours. With just 10 minutes of charging, users can enjoy up to 180 minutes of music playback from their earbuds.
