The Crompton Energion Cromair 1200mm is a simple-looking ceiling fan, not intended for decorative purposes. It is built with aluminum blades and a body, weighing 3.4 kg. This places it in the slightly lightweight BLDC ceiling fan category. In terms of design, it resembles the Crompton Energion Groove BLDC fan, which is a previous BLDC fan model from the Crompton brand.

The company claims that the Crompton Energion Cromair 1200mm blade provides 30% more coverage compared to normal fans. However, in reality, this isn’t entirely accurate. Several other factors contribute to improved airflow coverage, which will be discussed below.

This ceiling fan’s design is akin to that of an ordinary fan and it lacks a light feature. The company states that this BLDC fan comes with a dust-resistant coating on the blades, so you need to clean this fan every few months.

Power & Speed

The Crompton Energion Cromair 1200mm Ceiling Fan features a 28 W motor made of 100% copper. While not the lowest-powered motor, it falls within a good range. It operates at a speed of 350 RPM and provides 5 levels of speed control. Comparably, it offers more speed modes than its predecessor.

The ActivBLDC Motor technology used in this fan provides a wide voltage range of 90V-300V, which is beneficial in areas where low voltage fluctuations frequently occur. While its motor capacity might not be the best, it’s worth noting that achieving maximum airflow with the lowest possible RPM is essential, as higher RPMs tend to generate more noise.

The Crompton Energion Cromair BLDC 1200mm Ceiling Fan is controlled via remote control. It’s important to mention that it’s not an IoT-enabled BLDC fan and doesn’t come with Wi-Fi or IR connectivity options.
