Redmi is set to launch its most affordable smartphone, the Redmi 13C, in the Indian market on December 6th.

Redmi, a subsidiary of the Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi, has unveiled its latest addition to the C series lineup the Xiaomi Redmi 13C. This budget-friendly smartphone is poised to enter the market equipped with a 50MP AI camera, a MediaTek processor, Gorilla Glass protection, a bezel-less design, and more. The Redmi 13C marks the upgraded version of the Redmi 12C. In this article, we delve into the features, specifications, and expected price range.

The global launch of this smartphone took place recently, and it has already become available in Nigeria, priced at approximately Rs 10,100 in Indian currency.

Redmi 13C: Features and Specifications

The Xiaomi Redmi 13C boasts a plastic body fortified with Gorilla Glass protection. Its features include a 6.74-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels, a 90 Hz refresh rate, providing a pixel density of 260 ppi, and an 85.6% screen-to-body ratio. Weighing 192 grams and measuring 8.1mm in thickness, the device offers a comfortable build.

The smartphone is equipped with a triple-camera setup a 50 MP rear camera, a 2 MP depth camera, and a 2 MP macro camera alongside an 8 MP selfie camera. The rear camera supports 1080p video recording at 30fps. Additionally, the device features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Redmi 13C houses a non-removable 5000 mAh Li-polymer battery that supports 18W fast wired Type-C charging. In terms of connectivity, it includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, and Bluetooth 5.1. The device also retains the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Powering the smartphone is a MediaTek Helio G85 Octa-Core processor clocked at 2 GHz, paired with a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. It comes in three configurations: 4GB of RAM with 128GB of storage, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage. The Redmi 13C operates on Android 13 with MIUI 14.

In terms of sensors, the device includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyro, and compass. For positioning, it supports GPS.

The Xiaomi Redmi 13C smartphone is anticipated to be priced at Rs 9,588 and will be available starting from December 6th, 2023, in the Indian market on Amazon.in. It will be offered in four color options: Midnight Black, Navy Blue, Glacier White, and Clover Green.
