Design

The Nothing Phone 2 is made of metal and composite plastic. The smartphone weighs 203 grams and has an in-hand feel of about 205 grams,  making it slightly heavier. The smartphone has dimensions of 76.4 x 62.86 x 8.6 mm.

The Nothing Phone 2 has an on-screen fingerprint sensor. It has a unique and aesthetically pleasing glyph design pattern, as well as 11 Glyph lights, which are more than the previous version of the phone. The glyph design gives this phone a unique and stylish appearance that is not common. 

The bezel is barely visible. The smartphone has rounded corners that are both attractive and durable, as they are made of metal. The smartphone is slightly thicker than the previous version, possibly due to the additional features and accessories.

Display

The Nothing Phone 2 has a curved 6.7-inch display. This is an AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and LTPO technology. This display has a resolution of 2412*1800 pixels and a pixel density of 394 PPI. The smartphone has a maximum brightness of 1000 Nitss, which can be increased to 1600 Nitss by using the Peak brightness Mode. the display is good in quality and justified this price range but it is only an FHD+ display, not a QHD display.

This display features adaptive refresh rate technology, which means that the smartphone adjusts the refresh rate based on the running program, thereby saving energy. This display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. 

This HDR10+ Display includes an SGS Blue Light eye care feature for the comfort and protection of its users. This display also has a 10-bit color depth, which is impressive and unusual. 

This display has a contrast ratio of 1,000,000: 1. The display has a Touch Sampling Rate of 240 Hz. According to the brand, the Original OS was designed to keep the home screen monochromatic in order to reduce the distraction caused by colors (claimed by brand). As a result, only third-party apps will appear as colored icons on the phone’s home screen. 

Processor

The Nothing Phone 2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor. This processor has an octa-core with a primary clock speed of 3 GHz, a secondary clock speed of 2.5 GHz, and a tertiary clock speed of 1.8 GHz. 

The chipset is said to have been improved and made faster, as it can help you launch apps 15% faster on your smartphone. The previous version’s performance has been improved by up to 80%. 

The smartphone has an Adreno 730G Graphic Processing Unit, which allows it to support high-end gaming in an ultrasmooth and unnecessary manner.  

Ram and Storage

The Nothing Phone 2 has 12 GB of RAM. However, the smartphone is also available with an 8GB RAM variant, but we recommend that you go for the 12 GB variant because it has more ROM.

The Nothing Phone 2 supports 256GB of storage. It also has a 512 GB ROM option, which is sufficient for multitaskers. If you are not a heavy user of your smartphone’s functions, the 256GB variant is a good choice; otherwise, the 512GB variant is a better choice. 

Camera

The Nothing Phone 2 has a dual camera setup with 50 MP(Sony IMX 890 Sensor, f/1.88) + 50 MP(Samsung JN1 Sensor, f/2.2)  resolution. It has an inbuilt image sensor processor that allows you to capture detailed and clear images with each click. 

The smartphone can take pictures with a 2X high-resolution zoom camera. The smartphone includes a new motion capture 2.0 algorithm that measures details and motions in your frame to allow you to control the shot and capture clear images. 

Expert Mode, Panorama, Night Mode, Advanced HDR Motion Capture 2.0, Night Mode, Lenticular (Filter), AI Scene Detection, Document Mode Portrait Mode, Motion Photo, and Super Res Zoom are all available.

The smartphone flaunts a 32 MP front camera. The front camera is capable of recording videos at 1080P @ 60fps.

Sound Feature

The Nothing Phone 2 includes dual stereo speakers. The loudness of the speakers is adequate but not exceptional, as is the quality of the vocals and audio. We expected better sound systems with smartphones in this price range.  

Charging and Battery

The Nothing Phone 2 has a 4700 mAh battery built-in. it is estimated that it has 14-16 hours of heavy usage backup. There is no charging adapter included in the box.

The smartphone supports fast charging via USB-C. It also supports 15W Q Wireless Charging, which is a nice and expensive feature.
